MOST AFL GAMES (ALL-TIME)
The record for the most AFL games played is held by Hall of Famer Michael Tuck, who is credited with playing 426 AFL games during his (nearly 20 year) career.
426 games. To put it into another perspective, that’s the same as if he played a game every day from January 1st of one year through to March 2nd of the following year.
Perhaps equally impressively, Michael played all of his games for Hawthorn.
MOST AFL GAMES (STILL PLAYING)
346. That’s the number of AFL games Dustin Fletcher (Essendon) has played.
MOST AFL GOALS (ALL-TIME)
The man who is referred to as the “The greatest goalkicker in AFL history”, Tony Lockett kicked an amazing 1360 goals during his career with St Kilda and Sydney.
MOST AFL GOALS IN ONE SEASON
Bob Pratt played for South Melbourne in the 1930s. Peter Hudson played for Hawthorn in the late ’60s and early ’70s. Whilst it may seem unlikely they have anything in common, at least professionally, there is one thing they do share – the record of most goals in one AFL season.
Both Bob and Peter kicked 150 goals once in their careers – 1934 and 1971 respectively.
